Hi Linda,

Thanks for all your ideas, they are really great. I think you and my sister and John are doing a great job helping to promote the film. I really appreciate it and I'm glad to be working with talented people like you guys.

Thanks again and see you at the festival!

Hi Linda, I just wanted to thank you again for doing the fantastic make-up for my film.

My film class watched the rushes tonight of what we shot on Sunday. The make-up looks FABULOUS! You made Rachel look really beautiful and afterwards people commented on how the professional make-up makes such an enormous difference in how you perceive the entire film. I think you'll be very pleased when you see it, I certainly was.

My name is Jessica Hudson, I'm the writer and director of the award winning film Drop Dead Roses (Danforth Studios, June 2001).

I had a chance to work with Linda on Drop Dead Roses and my experience with her was wonderful. She was always early and worked very hard. Her skills were put to the test on set. As we were shooting with a new medium (Hi-Definition), make-up application was different then for 35mm or 16mm. She passed the test with flying colors. She did everything from a natural look, to elegant, to a bruised eye. It was all handled professionally and looked great.

I was so impressed with Linda's work that I hired her again to do make up for a documentary series I wrote and directed called Scream Sessions (Dark Features, January 2002). Shot on digital, she had to deal with many different locations and lighting. Linda came through for me again, the make-up was excellent. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone looking for a professional make-up artist.

My name is Sean Cisterna and I am currently producing the feature film My Brother's Keeper, as well as various commercials for TLN Television (Telelatino). I am also a short filmmaker, and I had the pleasure of working with Linda on my Canada Council-funded short film Phantasmagoria, which was produced last autumn.

Linda gave up a lot of her time to help me with my film. A large part of the production going smoothly and staying on course was due to Linda's responsible attitude, strong work ethic, and sheer creativity. She was always amongst the first to arrive on set and not only made our actors glamorous, but generally helped the crew prepare for the start of the shooting day.

Linda was responsible for all the make-up and hair duties on Phantasmagoria, which was not an easy task. With several cast members, it was her duty to transform the otherwise pleasant-looking actors into something netherworldly, and she did it to great effect.

Linda is intelligent, hard working, and, most importantly, passionate about filmmaking. She has the unique ability to work with whatever limitations she is given and pull off something worthwhile.

Please be advised that we have worked with Linda Matarasso for over two years and hold her in the absolute highest regard. Let me outline some of the reasons why we have such an opinion:

  • She is a skilled make-up artist.
  • She is very adaptable and willing to work anywhere, anytime.
  • She is pleasant to work with, and is very popular with my crew.

In short, we are able to make this recommendation without any qualifications whatsoever.

Linda Matarasso is a hard working, humble, social and good natured person.
She has worked on a half hour film "Deja Vu Déjà vu" as makeup & hair artist that I produced/directed in 1999. Aging of the main character was a crucial element of the film. Linda did a wonderful job, and the film has won few major awards on the festivals in Europe and New York.

Linda was also great help on couple of other smaller projects and will be offered makeup artist positions in the future.

Director (Déjà vu Déjà vu)

I had the pleasure of working with Linda on a television pilot entitled "Poetry Beat" of which I was the executive producer. I was thoroughly impressed with Linda as she was professional, knowledgeable, hard working and affable. It was a true pleasure working together. Her talent, dedication and love of make-up artistry is evident and I am confident she will build a fine reputation in the industry.

My name is Daniel Oron of Faranj Productions. I am the producer / director of a short film called "Sweet Sixteen". The film has been licensed by BRAVO and SPACE. It is currently being seen at Film Festivals around the World, most recently winning the gold Remi award for best award at Worldfest in Houston

We completed 9 days of filming for "Sweet Sixteen" in Febuary 2002.

Linda Matarasso was our Key Make-Up Artist on this project. For this project Linda had to create a scar, age 2 characters and apply tattoos on 2 actors as well as 1980 style makeup and current day makeup. Linda performed her duties in a very professional manner, supervising a team of makeup artists and creating wonderful makeup for the various characters and periods. I highly recommend Linda as a makeup artist. She is pleasant, keen and a true asset to any production.
